If you think that you have been inundated with Republican candidates yelping at one another on television for the past year, you would be right. So far there have been 17 GOP primary debates aired in a campaign season that has seen only two actual elections take place (Iowa and New Hampshire).

Republicans hate the truth. Why would they agree to an interview with an intelligent host who would not allow their lies to be stated without some facts.
Look at what happened to Kantor when he was interviewed. Most of his positions were just lies. He and his Campaign manager even stated on TV that Reagan had NOT raised taxes. Bull. Let me count the times.
- 17 votes
The GOP position is that the GOP won't do a debate on MSNBC as long as the Dems have the position that their Presidential primmary candidates won't debate on Fox. You want GOP candidates facing MSNBC panels, then you have to have Democrat primary candiidates facing a Fox News debate panel. It really is that simple.

MSNBC numbers, like Obama's numbers, are in the crapper. There are signs, that MSNBC, wants to correct, itself, they got rid of Oberfart, his lies were to much of a liability. Reporting lies and make-em ups, may be profitable in the short term, but after a while, like the National Enquirer, they get tiresome. They need to get rid of the liars and the ignorant, like Ed Schultz, Madcow, and Mathews. Not to worry, I will be applying for their jobs.

Republicans are not rushing to put their candidates on MSNBC and there can be only one reason. They are scared.
THUMP!
I literally just fell out of my chair laughing. That is some iron-clad logic there. There couldn't be any other reason. It must be fear. That man is an insightful genius!
This brilliant analysis is made even more compelling with this observation:
During the 2008 presidential election, Democrats deliberately embargoed Fox News due to their blatant bias against them.
So Republicans don't appear on MSNBC because they are afraid, but when Democrats duck Fox News, it's because Fox News is just so biased.
Just. Wow.
There actually could be a lot of reasons for either situation, but since we don't have any actual evidence for either one, let's just speculate. And while we're at it, let's be sure to inform that speculation with the most myopic partisan perspective we can muster.

A little off topic, but I find it fascinating that the R's are complaining about the media, when the media has given them 17 debates- that's 34 hours of debates- plus all the hours of build ups and run downs: essentially hours and hours of freeTV time to be used for their advertising. My Repub coworkers are all gloating about how their message is getting out there, and thinking that they have the election all sown up because all they see are their candidates and their party's voters. And then the ingrates turn around and blast the media!

During the 2008 presidential election, Democrats deliberately embargoed Fox News due to their blatant bias against them.'
Here's the rest of that paragraph that you cherry picked from:
During the 2008 presidential election, Democrats deliberately embargoed Fox News due to their blatant bias against them. At that time they were accused of being afraid to face tough questioning from Fox moderators. I’m sure those same critics would now regard the Republican candidates as cowards. And Fox News CEO Roger Ailes, who said that “the candidates that can’t face Fox, can’t face Al Qaeda,” surely feels the same about candidates who can’t face MSNBC.
Just. Wow.
Yeah, wow.
- 12 votes
Actually I think they have more to fear in Comedy Central and Colbert/Stewart. One thing is for certain, Republicans are afraid, fear of "the other" is like a drug for their faithful adicts.
- 17 votes
The reason could be because Liberals watch MSNBC and the Conservatives tuned in also to see the debate. The time when the debate was held and competing programming probably had something to do with it as well.
I've seen about 6 of these debates on different channels.
Conservatives will generally steer away from MSNBC. But there's probably a certain percentage of people that might tune in because they would expect more fireworks at an MSNBC debate.
- 7 votes
Apparently News Corpse doesn't even watch MSNBC because if they did, they would have seen all the GOP candidates more than once during this primary season on Morning Joe. That's the only good show on MSNBC, most of the time, and that's because they have Republican and Democratic viewpoints on the show. It's not one-sided like ED, Sharpton, and Maddow. Who the hell at MSNBC thought it was a good idea to give Al Sharpton a show? He's a closet racist.

I like Morning Joe. I watch it every morning. I like that they have a variety of people and viewpoints. Some people find it too Right leaning. It just seems regular to me unless Joe gets off on one of his rants where he won't shut up.
Maddow is good, so is O'Donnell. Of course they lean Left, but Maddow is especially entertaining about it.

Todd's ok. He's best when he not so guarded.
O'Donnell is sort of angry. But he does get guests that I don't think he could if he was not liked on some level.
I like Ed too. But he gets things wrong and go off on a tangent too much sometimes.
Sharpton makes me laugh sometimes. I usually can't figure out how he got a show.

Hard2Port,
You said that the Republicans don't have any achievements in the last 30 years to run on. Why should the last 30 years be attributed to Republicans? Democrats have had just as much or more to do with the last 30 years as Republicans have done!
The Dems controlled 5 Senate and the Republicans controlled 8, but the democratic majorities were much larger in the senate. The Dems controlled 9 houses, and the Reps controlled 6, AND the democratic majorities were far larger. We have had 3 Republican presidents and 2 Democratic presidents.
From this evidence it is clear that both parties should be held equally to blame for the current state of the nation. But, I would go back far further than the last 30 years, because in my opinion the current state of the nation is because of policies going back 60 years. I believe that the evidence is clear that there is pretty equal blame for both Democrats and Republicans. Both parties are to blame, and this is what I have always said.
- 2 votes
Ratings do define TV. You can walk to the beat of a different drummer, but if no one is watching your reality show, you can't sell advertisement and be a Media giant with influence.
NBC, like the NY Times has a lousy business model, and the ratings show it's not what it used to be............and that's the way it is, Jan, 21, 2011.

Minotaur you would probably not have your post deleted if you stopped using words like libtard. You gotta be smart e ough to insult people without attacking them. Observe....
Republicans have accused the President of wanting to convene "death panels" to decide which seniors live and die. An extensive reading of the law in question reveals no such provisions but Republicans have used the issue to make great strides in the 2010 elections. See I just called Republicans stupid, gullible, ill informed, and rascist in a way that noone could cull a COH violation.

Republicans are afraid of free speech period.
That is why you see so many voter suppression bills coming from Republicans.
It is why Republicans sponsor job cutting, union busting, collective bargaining, worker suppression bills.
It is why Republicans sponsor censorship bills, even sneaking things into other bills in attempts to suppress expression or speech.
It is why Republicans denounce the "media" but that doesn't apply to Fox "news" in spite of the hacking scandals.
It is why the Republicans denounce the Occupy movement, it is why no Republicans or "tea partiers" ever marched on the Wall Street bail outs long before Occupy.
It is why Republicans denounce any media that doesn't agree with their party line.
They don't like being asked hard questions, it is why many previous GOP candidates like Sharon Angle, Carly Fiorina, Meg Whitman, or Sarah Palin (to mention a few), have run from the press, run from being asked questions by anyone that isn't on Fox, or have tried to trash the media that doesn't agree with them or give them a free pass on the issues.
The Republicans aren't about the truth and hearing both sides.
The Republicans now have Current TV which is finally taking off, if GOP candidates can't take softball questions from CNN or major networks or PBS then they really have another contender and it is going to get tougher and tougher to appear balanced when the only network they approve is Fox and Fox is now the least trusted name in "news".

Yes, and don't forget, it's why Mitt, "I'm in a fitt" Romney wants tax policy to be discussed only in a "quiet room." Heaven forbid it should be mentioned in public, lest the Republican lies should be revealed for all to see.
- 13 votes
In the New York Times last weekend, this irritation was on full display. Columnist Maureen Dowd makes fun of the young Romney's affection for "The Sound of Music" (what is it about that musical that so annoys the left?) and disregard for The Grateful Dead.
She describes him as living in a "non-drinking, nonsmoking, suburban, uxorious bubble with Ann, revolving around Mormon rituals, Mormon couples, and the Mormon credo of strong, heterosexual, traditional families." (In case you wondered, that's meant to be a criticism.) "Uxorious" means having an excessive fondness for one's wife – something that Ms. Dowd finds unacceptable.
She should know that rampant divorce and children born out of wedlock cost our country an estimated $112 billion in 2008; chances are the recession has driven that figure above $150 billion. Heads up- there are worse things than the enduring family.
In the same paper, Lee Siegel describes Romney as "the whitest man to run for president in recent memory." In case that one leaves you scratching your head, Siegel explains that he means "the countless subtle and not-so-subtle ways he telegraphs that he is the cultural alternative to America's first black president. It is a whiteness grounded in a retro vision of the country, one of white picket fences and stay-at-home moms and fathers unashamed of working hard for corporate America."
He derides Romney for being "implacably polite, tossing off phrases like "oh gosh" with Stepford bonhomie." In other words, shame on Romney for his decency, for having been happily married to Ann for decades and for earning a living. More important, shame on him for imagining that a great many Americans might aspire to do the same.

Fox has the hotties, and MSNBC has the notties. Don't be so jealous, of the Hotties, and start reporting the truth. MSNBC, is barely getting by, they were hoping their would be enough ignorant, people, they prey, on ignorance, and take advantage of the meek. Well I guess they found out, we are not as ignorant, as they were thinking.
Thanks to the internet, we can search the FEC Federal Election Commission, and see who the crooks are. With Obama and Dodd, top two recipients of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the very institutions, that helped bankrupt our great country.
We can even download the 911 commission report, and if we are two lasy to read, we can read pages 110-111 and find 1996 the Sudanese offered Usama Bin Laden, to Clinton, but he was to busy with Monica Lewinsky. How many lives were lost, because of this? How much did we spend, between 1996-2011 hunting down this monster. Surely its in the trillions, THANKS BILL!
We can watch video, of what the democrats said, during the Clinton Admin, about Saddams WMDs.
We can even watch video, of Saddam using WMDs on his own people.
We can watch Obama, lieing to veterans, saying his father served in WW2, WW2 was 1939-1945, both his step father and maternal father, were born in the late 1930s. I guess 10 year olds, fought, on the battlefield, during WW2. Obama then says his Uncle, helped liberate the Jews at Auschwitz, when if you study history, will find the Russian Army, liberated the Jews at Auschwitz. I guess his Uncle was in the Russian Army.
Do you see these things, on MSNBC? Why not? Telling blatant lies, to us veterans, is this an impeachable offense? Nixon resigned for taping the democrats, (so much for transparency), how much more of an offense is lieing to the Men and Women, who served? I thought Obama was Commander the Chief?
We have an Harvard Graduate, who thinks we have 57 states, in our Union, he says Europe is a country, and Eu Clair is a state, and Austrian is a language. He is so smart, he sat in Rev. Wrights for 20 years. Harvard must be proud.
MSNBC, needs to start reporting, if they don't, then they will loose more viewers, not everyone is ignorant.

So do it, present your evidence. Prove "he was too busy with Monica Lewinsky".
FactCheck says "What is clear is that the 9/11 Commission report totally discounts the Sudanese claims... to hand bin Laden over to the United States."
And IN FACT Republicans impeached Clinton on trumped-up charges in 1998, when Osama was a much more obvious threat, demonstrating how Republicans put politics ahead of national security.

I gave you the evidence, read pages 110-111 911 commission. Clinton and the democrats, did'nt fight over the impeachment, because, of Clinton's major screw ups. Screw factcheck.org, go to the source. I suggest read it all, Clinton over worked our troops, in Bosnia, and when our troops, asked for armour in Somalia, he shunned them, we all remember their bodies, being dragged through the streets. Clinton weakened the CIA, thought they had to much power. As a result, 1993 World Trade Center bombings, two of our embassies in Africa, bombed, the USS Cole bombing. Also check how much armour Clinton gave our troops, and how much Bush gave our troops.
BTW check FEC commission, that's the Federal Election Commission. They made it really simple to use now. Check Goldman Sacs, AIG, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, check all big insurance. You are looking for the truth. Are we not? Is'nt it nice to know, that Obama is the biggest recipient, or these outfits.

Any of their broadcasters have it all over those liars on FAUX Noise in education and intelligence. Some of them on FAUX act like they don't know enough to come in out of the rain. Truth stands and it is a fearful thing for many that do not tell it!

Republicans passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964. That was when the country was so far left that Republicans were leftists, the opposite from now, and shows how far Republicans have come. In those days, expansion of voter rights was considered a just cause. Now Republicans are trying to narrow the voter base by excluding marginal groups with fake concern over voter fraud.
That is the only example I can think of unless you go back 100 years to Theodore Roosevelt.

MSNBC is scared of their ratings.
Meanwhile, the ABC "King" makes Gingrich a winner, as attacking the bias of the OMG (Obama Media Group) Media, is what Americans prefer, and that would be the "Majority" of Americans as evidenced by FOX ratings being Triple of any other Alphabet network.
If I was scared of MSNBC, why am I posting on their sponsored site ? Daily KOS, not there is a SCARY Site, mark me down for not visiting that one.

It is a well known fact that the truth has a liberal bias.
Since conservative rhetoric is always loaded with lies ... to refute the right wing's views one need only show the truth.
MSNBC does this very well and republicans hate them for it.
Conservatives hate that MSNBC tells the truth as it relates to republican lies. They fear that MSNBC is gaining in popularity as the of FUX Snooze agenda of lies becomes more and more evident.

Its past time to separate, ........... its like a bad marriage at some point one of the parties needs to say to the other we can no longer live together.
Divide the country into two halfs,......... one with liberals and the liberal idiology, and the other with conservatives and their idiology.
All the money and industry would move to the conservative half, and the liberal half can do whatever they want, tax the crap out of its people.
The conservative half would prosper beyond belief and the liberal side would wither away and goe bankrupt.
I'll be moving to the conservative half. I don't care about prayers on walls, or the 10 commandments being in court rooms, i don't have hate for the people which believe even if its not my belief.

Evidence belies your assertion. The most liberal states are the richest, and the most conservative states are poorest.
Divide this country into thirds, two liberal nations on the coasts and a new confederacy in the middle. The two liberal nations would be MUCH better off than they are now, since they are donor states that pay red state bills so red states can cut taxes for corporations as bribes to locate there. The technical name for this is "crony capitalism" and Republican euphemism is "business friendly".

Some of the states have entire regions that are different from their majority populations and would have to be broken up as part of the split.

Please, they can have eastern washington. They hate us liberal Seattleites, they think they can survive without our tax base supporting them...they can have it...I will enjoy watching those deep red counties on the other side of the mountains wither away and die. Then we can keep our revenue here in King county and stop supporting hicks that want to live in the sticks. Build your own @!$%#ing roads.

OK< lets divide the Country. Put the GOP where they would be happiest,
Alaska
Texas
That's about all I can think of.
Then the Middle class will take the rest, thats even isn't it.?
The 1% can have two states.

Not just eastern Washington but eastern Oregon and eastern California as well. Also much of illinois and Pennsylvania would go as as well. The rural and exurb areas of many blue states are quite red. You can drive I-5 in California and except for the purple county of Sacramento its all red from Oregon to Los Angeles.

Fine by me.....even though my property is located in southern Oregon.....lets just say the border should be somewhere east of Klamath Falls but west of Lakeview Oregon. I don't go down into CA...ever, stay out of North Cali unless you are looking for weed or rednecks.

Southern Oregon is conservative from the Coast on inward except possibly for Ashland. As to Ca. Most all non coastal, non bay area region counties are are red. On the coast San Diego, Orange, and Del Norte are somewhat\red and Ventura/San Louis Obispo are purple.

If we created a West Coast Union even that could be unzipped right down the middle. Fine with me, the Left Coast would STILL be better off.

Republicans Are Afraid Of MSNBC, LMFAO! That's funny @!$%#, right up there with Democrats are afraid of Fox news.
Ditto that comment.
And with that said.....
When will all of you people understand that both Parties and all Politicians are full of @!$%#?
All of them. Show me one honest Politician and I'll show you my 17 inch d**k and the 4ft fish I caught down at the local puddle. I swear. It was thiiiiiiiiiis big.
The ONLY difference between the Parties is the manner in which they @!$%# you. And who gets @!$%#ed. Thats it. Thats the only difference. MSNBC is as bogus as FOX. They just @!$%# with the Right, where as FOX @!$%#s with the Left.
Get a clue people. It's no longer about Parties. It's about Citizens vs Government.
Period.....
