Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee (R) is somehow still confused over the nationality and background of President Barack Obama.

Huckabee appeared on The O’Reilly Factor Friday evening to discuss the growing story of Mitt Romney unveiling his tax returns, saying the GOP candidate should do that based solely on one condition.

This isn’t the first time Huckabee has sorely lacked knowledge on Obama’s history. Last February, he wrongly claimed that Obama“grew up in Kenya.”

COH please.

You just don't know whether to laugh or cry.

Laugh because of either the willful ignorance of Huckabee or his apparent complete and total ignorance.

Cry, because of the fact that these people can spread this crap with either open contempt for the truth or ignorantly spreading the same to a group of pablum happy ignoramuses.

PBO was in Indonesia from the age of 6 thru 10 (1st thru 4th grade). He was too old to become a citizen outright and Indonesian Law at that time [Law No. 62/1958 (UU No. 62 Tahun 1958)] required you to be 21 with 5 yrs residency and give up (renounce) any other citizenship.

http://www.unhcr.org/refworld/country,,,LEGISLATION,IDN,4562d8cf2,3ae6b4ec8,0.html

Anyone with a grade school education can see that wasn't possible.

For someone such as Mike Huckabee to ask for college transcripts and copies of college admission forms to determine whether PBO rec'd loans as a foreign student is shameful and laughable at the same time.

Mike Huckabee is a "moran".

Huckabee: Obama was a 'foreign student'

Suckamee, I mean Huckabee will say just about anything to get Obama out of office. He doesn't want to lose all his tax cuts and breaks that he has been getting under the republican administration for all the past years. Some of those tax breaks the rich were getting under the Bush administration is coming to an end, and this is why the republicans want Obama out of office. They want to renew them so they an continue robbing the poor and the rest of the taxpayers so people like Suckamee, I mean Huckabee can keep all his riches and live off the rest of us.

People like Suckamee, I mean Huckabee are leeches. They live and feed off the rest of us and preach to the stupid about the invisible man that's going to save you.

“Let him make this challenge,” he said. “I’ll release my tax returns when Barack Obama releases his college transcripts and the copy of his admission records to show whether he got any loans as a foreign student.”

as mentioned earlier, this tactic will back fire on the GOP

Oh, dear. Poor Mike Huckabee. Dropped out of the Presidential race in 08 and can't re-enter it ever because of Wayne Dumond.

Reduced to sniping at a sitting President with racist horse-@!$%# that has been, repeatedly, disproven. Carole Shields would likely be disgusted, if she were still alive.

If Huckabee is trying to dig up old dirt on Obama, just repeat the two names I've listed above to his face. He will shut the @!$%# up pretty quick.

Why is Huckabee allowed to have a Politican endorsement show on National TV. Shouldn't the Democrats have equal time?

The FCC needs to find a way to get these political shows off the airways. The Republicans have at least four (4) shows that are mostly Republican campaign LIES. That has be against some law.

Actually it is not illegal because the first admendment gives every citizen the right to free speach it doesn't say that he has tell the truth. Our supreme court Judges hide behind this right all the time. I don't know whether it is the Person or the corporation telling the LIE but it doesnt matter any more because the Supreme Court has decided that they are equal.

Here is something else Pastor Huckabee should remember:

Letting a convicted rapist out of prison in order to score a cheap political point. I don't know if there is a fancy Biblical quote for doing this, but there is a body count for Mr. Huckabee. Carole Shields, who would be alive today if "Pastor" Huckabee hadn't let someone out of prison in order to get in a cheap shot in at Bill Clinton.

I think "Pastor" Huckabee should shut up.

Huckabee is certainly not ignorant and I feel he knew exactly what he was saying was wrong. What Republicans like this know is that rumors like this spread quickly and seem to take on a life of their own. That's exactly what they're counting on. During the 2008 campaign, a very intelligent friend told me this and much more about Obama. I asked her where she got her information. She said she read it on the internet. Needless to say, I don't think she's so intelligent anymore. This was a calculated move on the part of not only Huckabee, but many, many other Republicans. It's their dirty politics they're so famous for.

Why would anyone listen to him anyway? I am noticing a swing though. People are getting damn tired of the bs being thrown out by the republican candidates. They are beginning to see that it was not about this country at all. The hate rhetoric is starting to get to even those that have been repulicans all of their lives. Now they are angry as to what their party has sunk too. The voting booth will be the telling thing. I remember before the last election those rejoicing becasue they thought that they had it in the bag.. Found out the SILENT majority spoke loud and clear. This time we must not remain silent. We need to get the facts out there not the damn spin. One last thing I am tired of hearing is the "liberal" media. The owners lean very right. I am tired of what is called jouralism . Back in the day they reported the facts..

They been spreading the Birther lie for years and by now, I bet most ignorant GOPers believe it to be true. Donna's friend is an example how ignorant people can easily fall for these lies, and these are the people the GOP is hoping will tip the scale in their favor. No, we on the left should not ignore the falsehood (lies) coming from the mouthpieces of people who do speak for the GOP.

To ignore them is to give them power as then they will claim that we are some how afraid of their so called truth without one shred of evidence of their statements.

I have to wonder why the rank and file of the GOP do not stand up and claim that the people who claim to represent the GOP/teaparty (Huckabee, Palin, and the rest) do not speak for the GOP when they spew their rhetoric and hate mongering?

I don't think that Obama is at all worried about what Huckabee says or does he is a tool of the extreme right wing who was rejected by the moderate right wing voters a long time ago.

I don't believe Obamas Certified Birth Certificate to be authentic, reason is that the fathers race is stated as African, ....... in 1961 I don't think the term African would have been used, it kind of fishy.

It took him 2.5 yeard to realease it.

His college papers haven't been released, its not a requirement yet it would calm many minds. It does seen to me if Huckabee wants the loan infor that should be availible under the Freedom of Information Act, yet those records may not exist.

What will Americans do if it ever come to light in the future that Barrack Obama did not meet the criteria to be president after the fact. The problem with this president is the spread the wealth thing. His first month in office he increased the US committment to the IMF from 4 billion to 100 Billion annually. During the middle of the BP oil spill Obama gave 3 billion to Brazil to develope its off shore drilling, in 3 times the depth of the BP oil well.

Well, I don't believe your issue with Obama's birth certificate is anything but race-baiting.

It took him 2.5 yeard to realease it.

That was only after 2.5 years of relentless racist speculation that Obama wasn't really from America. Where was John McCain's birth certificate? Where was George W. Bush's birth certificate?

    Where's Ronald Reagan's birth certificate?

How come the first time this comes up in modern history, it's the guy who isn't white?

Really? Still on the 'birther' kick are we?

His college papers haven't been released, its not a requirement yet it would calm many minds.

Doubtful. If he did release them, they, and obviously you, would find something at fault with them too.

What will Americans do if it ever come to light in the future that Barrack Obama did not meet the criteria to be president after the fact.

Do you realize the conspiracy it would take, and the number of people required to pull that off? If McCain, and the rest of the GOP could have found anything in '07-'08 to back that claim up, don't you think they would have shouted it far and wide, or were they in on it too?

Get a grip. The only reason you people cling to this birther BS, is because Obama is 'Different' than you are. Could be his name, could be his skin color, or both. That's it.

No other president in the history of our country has been subjected to this. No other white President anyway. Thanks for exposing yourself for all to see.

Wanna know the difference between Obama supporters and the rest of us? If Obama wins in November then life will go on as usual, just like it did in 2008. But if he loses... There will be rioting & looting in every major American city, liberals screaming RACISM 24/7, white people afraid to come out of their homes, etc. Think I'm full of it? You just wait and see.

Seriously Randy, you can't be that naive. Either that or you know I'm not allowed to be specific anymore in this land of free speech. ;)

Its a free country, and you are pretty opaque... as I said we'd e in civil war right now because if Obama got into office the way Bush did.... and the community you are denigrating voted 90% for the other guy, a mere 6% less than they voted for this president, and oddly enough/s/, no riots ensued. where do you base your statement, besides something rush blew out his cornhole

I'm saying that the kind of people who support Obama are not true Americans. They just happened to be born in America (well some of them anyway). They don't believe in Democracy, the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, etc. They believe in a welfare state that sustains itself through wealth redistribution. They're lazy, and have absolutely nothing in common with Americans from times past who built and fought for this nation and made it great.

They believe in getting their way no matter the cost. Lying, cheating, stealing... these are people with no moral code whatsoever. You ever see what happens in a third world country after an election? All the killing, raping & pillaging. It's coming to a city near you in 2012 if Obama loses.

    F U!!

I have been a true American for 65 years and I support Obama, not 100%, but enough to tell you should go hide in a very dark place, befitting your attitude.

Vietnam Vet 1996 - have you served, or are you just an internet patriot?

Wow Michael, who were you fighting in Vietnam in 1996? Cuz I got out in 98 and we hadn't been at war with anyone since 91. Oh, I understand, you're a liberal who gets his numbers mixed up. Like that never happens... LOL

Sorry, you pissed me off so bad I miss typed - 1966.

we hadn't been at war with anyone since 91

Well, I also know my history:

    • 1991 - Persian Gulf War
    • 1995 - Intervention in Bosnia Herzgovina
    • 2003 - Invasion of Afghanistan
    • 2005 - Invasion of Iraq

And before you get all pissy about some of the above not being declared a "war", the Vietnam War was never declared as a war, either.

Of course, you may have mistyped also, so give me your best shot to excuse your ignorance.

Dude, you're just an old hippie fart with mental burnout. And if you did serve in Vietnam then you're a loser who made excuses and couldn't get the job done. In either case, I'm done with you.

    To the CoH - apologies!

From a liberal, progressive, pinko, commie, whatever who remembers the '60s AND was there: yet had nothing to do with the hippies.

Did spend a lot of time at the Fillmore and Winterland, but you are probably too young to remember.

funny thing is that those of us in the same approx age range read "VietNam" and "1966" - 1996 was such an OBVIOUS typo that I instinctively overlooked that I had to go back and RE-READ the response to see what the ruckus was about.

oh and b0b - too bad you weren't around for the DRAFT when there wasn't a CHOICE

Can my mostly Latino neighbors join in the white peoples riots too? Do I have to explain to them that Neut really loves them and he was just campaining(sic)?

No. After the riots, we'll need them for the clean-up.
