As opposed to their current strategy? The republicans have been refusing to compromise for the past four years, why would they change their stance now?

This is hubris in action, the assumption that by virtue of being a GOP'r you have the only good ideas.

It has become clear that Republican Party not longer wish to be a true participant in our democracy because in OUR democracy and constitution it requires compromise or consensus in order to function for the people. It light of this reality I think the American People need to begin to vote accordingly until another party emerges which understand the nature of our democracy and DO want to build a consensus and actually govern the country. So essentially it's curtains this party until some reason and compromise returns to its actions and discourse.

And THAT is why they stand to lose big in November.
Their refusal to do the people's business is what has soured the country on this congress. With the lowest rating in this country's history, there's not much chance we'll be seeing many of the same faces there next year.
Just as well. Their careers were going nowhere.....

Republicans have become totalitarian. That's dangerous to our nation and what's left of our democracy. By choice the Republican Party has move to extremism, that is, fascism. We must reject them and their ideology entirely.

BFD DeMint! While you were gone and handing out slaps on the back to the rest of your tribe, Obama just exposed the RNC and you've got work to do.
Better call the local Bishop big boy!

That statement tells me volumes. 1. They and he are so far away from mainstream Americans 2. They do not care about the sick, elderly, poor, or children in our society 3. They want us all to think, walk, talk, and believe just like them 4. Their agenda of power and control is far more important than our country and her people 5. They will use any and everything within their power to mislead and pull the wool over people's eyes. 6. They are greedy and do not care if many starve homeless in the streets of our country and they wouldn't lift a finger to prevent it.
