The final revelation of the Republican platform for 2012 is just around the corner. While leaks of draft revisions have cropped up over the past few weeks, the finished version is not to officially be released until the upcoming convention in Tampa, Florida next week. It is time, then, to consider where the Republican Party has come from, and how far they have sunk.
